The courthouse security division personnel have the responsibilities of providing and maintaining an orderly and safe environment for all visitors and employees within the Wagoner County courthouse facilities.
The integrity of courthouse security is vital to the uninterrupted functioning of the court system and all official county business. Courthouse facilities are often melting pots where litigants are brought together to resolve disputes. Thus, it is required that deputies conduct constant proactive and preventive patrol of all areas of the facilities, and remain abreast of court proceedings and courthouse activities.
Deputies respond to a variety of calls for service, including disturbances, duress alarms, taking persons into custody, escorts and other reports as needed. They also provide security and protection for judges, juries and employees of the courthouse.
