Deputy assist's stranded motorist

08/21/2019

On 08/21/2019 Wagoner County K-9 Deputy M. Lott was patrolling the area near State Highway 51 and Muskogee Turnpike when he observed a vehicle disabled on the shoulder. Upon contacting the occupants of the vehicle, it was discovered that the owner had just serviced the vehicle and the lug nuts had come off, disabling the vehicle. Deputy Lott advised them to sit tight and went to O’rielly Auto Parts in Coweta to purchase lug nuts for them.  A short time later Deputy Lott had the tire back on and they were back on their way down the turnpike.

Wagoner County Sheriff Chris Elliott stated “I come to work daily here at the Wagoner County Sheriff’s Office, and I am humbled some of those days when I see how hard my deputies are willing to work for anyone that travels through this county. I am proud of K-9 Deputy Lott’s actions and I am pleased that they are becoming a common place here at the Sheriff’s Office.”
