We provide comprehensive training and continuing education and equip our deputies with the latest equipment - from well-maintained vehicles equipped out with state-of-the-art technology, to judiciously maintained and upgraded pistols, rifles, and other implements.


Wagoner County encompasses 568 square miles of city, rural and lake communities. Sheriff Chris Elliott's leadership and collaboration with partner agencies has so far led to a 50 percent reduction in crime, making Wagoner County one of the safest counties in the state.

High School Education or G.E.D.

Oklahoma Driver's License

CLEET certification required

Possess good computer skills/aptitude for technology

Good physical condition

Shift work, with two shift bids a year

Must be able to thrive in an environment that demands excellence
