Illegal Dumping in Broken Arrow Area
On 9/10/20 Wagoner County Deputy Lt. E. Crockett and Deputy M. Mccleod were dispatched to the intersection of 51st and 241st in the Broken Arrow area in reference to trash that was blocking both lanes of traffic.
Upon arrival deputies observed a large pile of construction debris, exercise equipment, trash, and household materials in the roadway. It appeared that the suspect(s) used a chain and tie-down strap to tie off to a tree to pull the debris off of the trailer and leave the area undetected.
Upon searching the debris pile deputies located identifying information on a possible suspect for investigation. Wagoner County District # 1 was contacted to clear the roadway. Due to the weight and shear amount of the debris several vehicles, a Bulldozer, and several county employees responded to assist in the removal from the roadway.
This report will be submitted for further investigation by the Wagoner County Department of Environmental Quality Deputy for Violation of the Oklahoma Clear Air Act. If probable cause is established the report with be forwarded the Wagoner County District Attorney's Office for prosecution.
The Wagoner County Sheriff's Office would like to thank Wagoner County District # 1 Commissioner James Hanning and the District #1 County Workers for their quick response and assistance in removing the debris from the roadway.
