Deputies make traffic stop, recover 19 grams of methamphetamine

On 04-24-2020 Wagoner County Deputy T. Fisher performed a traffic stop near the intersection of U.S.  Highway 69 and 680 Road in Flat Rock area of Wagoner County. The vehicle was stopped for driving without a license plate.  Upon the deputy speaking with the driver, he admitted to having narcotics on his person.  He was taken into custody for the narcotics.

A short time later K-9 Deputy D. Watkins and K-9 partner Bane arrived on scene to assist. Deputy Watkins deployed his K9 partner Bane that alerted to the odor of narcotics in the vehicle. Deputy Watkins performed a probable cause search of the vehicle and discovered a clear plastic bag containing a white crystal substance under the driver seat. 

Deputies recovered 19 grams of methamphetamine from the vehicle.  The driver of the vehicle was identified as Brian D Russell of Locust Grove, OK.  He was transported to the Wagoner County Detention Center without further incident and charged with the following: Possession of CDS without a Tax Stamp and Possession of Controlled Substance - Methamphetamine. 

He was released from the Wagoner County Detention Center on 05-01-2020 after posting a $2,500.00 bond.
