Detention Officer's test for open deputy positions
On 08-21-2019 Wagoner County Sheriff Chris Elliott observed Detention Officer’s with the Wagoner County Sheriff’s Office participate in physical testing at the Wagoner Track. They are all competing for 2 full time deputy positions available to detention officers.
They gathered behind the Sheriff’s Office and ran to the Track to begin testing. Once there they had to perform a run, box jumps, sit-ups, push up, and other physical activities. Sheriff Elliot will be sending the top 2 applicants to attend CLEET training in Ada, OK once they complete the testing process.
Wagoner County Sheriff Chris Elliott stated “Today these men and women started the first step in obtaining their CLEET certification to become certified peace officers. They had a chance to show off their physical abilities and are now one step closer to completing a dream that all of these applicants share.”
