Wagoner County Sheriff's Office patrolling Fort Gibson Lake for 2020 Labor Day Weekend

09/04/2020

Wagoner County Sheriff Chris Elliott wanted to let you know that Wagoner County Deputies will be out on Fort Gibson Lake this 2020 Labor Day weekend keeping our waterways safe.  Deputies will be out on the water throughout the weekend patrolling and assisting any citizens that may have issues.  The Sheriff's Office strongly encourages you to ALWAYS WEAR YOUR LIFE JACKET!!!

The Fort Gibson Lake water level was 2.36 ft BELOW normal as of 0800 hours on 09-04-2020.  Please ensure that if you are going out on the water to use caution in areas that you are unfamiliar with due to lake water levels being lower than usual.  You can check the Fort Gibson Lake Levels at the following link: https://www.swt-wc.usace.army.mil/FGIB.lakepage.html.  Additionally, always make sure to watch children playing in the water closely as to avoid any injuries.

Stay safe this weekend Wagoner County and have a Great 2020 Labor Day weekend!
