Deputies recover stolen property from Toppers burglary
On 05/15/2020 and 05/16/2020 Wagoner County Deputies Lt. E. Crockett, Deputy L. Mock, and Deputy C. Talley responded two different burglaries in the Toppers area. Due to the burglaries occurring in the same area, deputies spent approximately 2 hours walking door to door and canvasing the neighborhood to speak with any possible witnesses. Deputies spent time with multiple individuals receiving various leads and items of evidentiary value were seized from both burglaries.
During the evening hours of 5/20/2020 Wagoner County Deputies recovered the stolen John Deere lawn mower from the burglary that occurred on 05-16-2020. Wagoner County Deputies are still investigating additional leads in this case. When any updates are received this information will be updated.
Wagoner County Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer Sergeant Jeff Halfacre stated "The Wagoner County Sheriff's Office would like to thank the citizens of Toppers for their assistance and vigilance. This allows us to better protect the community. As deputies canvased the area, citizens provided valuable information allowing deputies to recover the victims property. Toppers is a great lake community and with the help of the community we will continue to eradicate criminal activity from the area."
