Deputy responds to medical call, saves unconscious man with CPR
On 04/22/2020 at approximately 1935 hours, Wagoner County Deputies E. Cahanin, K. Phillips, and T. Fisher we were dispatched to the 10000 Block of South 275th East Avenue in the Coweta area for an unconscious male subject.
Upon the deputies arrival, the male subject was not breathing and was bleeding heavily from his mouth. Deputy Fisher moved him from the bed to the floor and performed CPR. As a result of Deputy Fishers actions, the victim regained a pulse and began to breathe prior to Coweta EMS arriving. Deputies stood by with the victim until Coweta EMS arrived on scene to assist.
The victim was transported to the hospital by Coweta EMS for further treatment. Coweta EMS staff members credited Deputy Fisher with saving the man's life with his quick actions and medical treatment. The victims significant other was very thankful for Deputy Fisher and the actions that saved his partners life.
Wagoner County Sheriff Chris Elliott stated "This is another outstanding example that proves I have some of the best deputies around. The selfless acts that they perform daily amazes and humbles me. I am so immensely proud of Deputy Fisher for his heroic actions that evening. Without his quick thinking and medical assistance this could have been an incredibly sad outcome for the victim's family."
