Deputies assist Wagoner Police with "Big Boy's" arrival

On 11-16-2019 Wagoner County Deputies assisted the Wagoner Police Department for the Union Pacific's historic Big Boy steam locomotive No. 4014's arrival in Wagoner. Wagoner County Deputies J. Carey and Sgt. J. Halfacre passed out some junior deputy stickers to the kids before the train rolled into town. The steam engine is touring the Union Pacific system throughout 2019 to commemorate the transcontinental railroad's 150th anniversary.
The "Big Boy" was welcomed by Wagoner Mayor Albert Jones and a large crowd that had gathered in anticipation of the train's arrival. Everyone took pictures of the historic train as it stuck around for about 15 minutes and then left for its next stop in Claremore. Thank you to the Wagoner citizens for the kind remarks.
